Accomplishment Reporting to the Public
AEC - Maine School Administrative District No. 31
ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORTING TO THE PUBLIC
The School Board accepts its responsibility to lead in the identification and development of board goals and specific objectives to be accomplished by the school system and to make realistic adjustments in these targets as warranted. In turn, the Board expects the Superintendent to employ all appropriate means to provide for continuous and candid reports of the accomplishments by staff in the pursuit of these goals and objectives for which reliable measurement indicators have been established.
The purpose of these accomplishment reports will be to provide the Board with information needed for making ongoing policy and planning decisions and to keep the public informed about school needs and about actual results being obtained from the public's support of school programs.
Accomplishment reports should be clearly written and supported as necessary by graphics in order that the significance of all information may be easily understood by lay citizens. Reports to the Board should also be accompanied by any administrative recommendations for consideration and action.
