Principal Shane Yardley has announced the Honor Parts for the Class of 2026 at Penobscot Valley High School. Class Night Exercises will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. and Graduation Exercises will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the George Sereyko Memorial Gymnasium.
Carina Albu, daughter of Claudiu and Ileana Vintila of Argyle Township, has been named the Valedictorian of the Class of 2026. She will be attending the University of Maine majoring in Nursing.
Carina has been on the honor roll all four years at PVHS. She received the Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Award, the Saint Michael’s College Book Award for Community Engagement and was a recipient of the PVHS ARC Award. Carina is a member of the National Honor Society and PVHS Travel Club.
Carina participated in Math Team, Yearbook, Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field, Cross Country and Soccer.
Lila Cummings, daughter of Bruce and Lana Cummings of Howland, has been named the Salutatorian of the Class of 2026. She will be attending the University of Maine majoring in Biomedical Engineering.
Lila has been on the honor roll all four years at PVHS. She received the Bausch and Lomb Honorary Science Award and The Society of Women Engineer’s Award in Science and Mathematics.
Lila is the President of the PVHS National Honor Society, Vice President of the PVHS Student Council, and Vice President of the Class of 2026. She was a member of the Math Team and Travel Club.
She participated in Soccer (5 years) and was a State Champion for 3 years, Basketball and was a State Champion 2 years, Softball and Volleyball.
Chase Osgood, son of Ryan and Jennifer Osgood of Enfield, has been named the First Honor Essayist. He will be attending Husson University majoring in Physical Therapy.
Chase has been on the honor roll all four years at PVHS. He is the Treasurer for the Class of 2026 and a member of the National Honor Society.
He participated in soccer, basketball, baseball all four years.
Cadence Savage, daughter of Greg Savage of Enfield and Shelley Rosario of
Enfield, has been named the Second Honor Essayist. She will be attending the University of Maine majoring in English.
She was a member of the PVHS Art Club, PVHS Drama Club, Yearbook, National Honor Society, Math Team, Travel Club, Upward Bound and Cohen Leadership Program.
Cadence was on the Honor Roll all four years and was the recipient of the 2026 Maine Principal’s Award.
Savannah Durost, daughter of Jeremy and Kelly Durost of Edinburg, has been named 3rd Honor Essayist. She will be attending the University of Maine with an undeclared major.
Savannah was a Dirigo Girls State representative. She is the Secretary for the Class of 2026 and a member of the National Honor Society.
She participated in Soccer, Volleyball and Tennis. She received the “Heart of the Team” Award in Soccer her senior year and was voted to the PVC 2nd team.
Rylee Mouton, daughter of Lee and Sabrina Theriault of Edinburg will present the Class Gifts. She plans to attend the University of Maine at Augusta majoring in Business Administration.
Matthew Hatch, son of Justin and Amanda Hatch of Howland will compose the Class Will. He plans to attend the University of Maine majoring in Mechanical Engineering
Parker Theriault, daughter of Douglas and Amy Theriault of Enfield will compose the Class Prophecy. She will be attending Maine Maritime Academy majoring in Marine Transportation Operations.
Drouin Brochu, son of Chris and Ashley Brochu of Lowell will be presenting the Class Gifts. He will be attending Colby College majoring in Economics.
Aron Fitzsimmons, son of Micheal and Amanda Fitzsimmons will compose the Class History. He will be attending Husson University majoring in Psychology.
