Deadline to sign up is this Friday. Students must fill out the Google Form that was sent to their school email.
Spring Sports Informational meeting Wednesday, 3/18 at 6:00 in the gym at Penquis Valley. This is for parents/athletes that are trying out for a spring sport.
HS pitchers/catchers arm conditioning starts on 3/23.
HS spring sports start for everyone on 3/30.
MS spring sports start on 4/6.
Any student trying out for a spring sport needs to have proof of a physical on file at school.

Due to the predicted wintery mix with sleet and icy road conditions, there will be no school in M.S.A.D. 41 today, Wednesday, March 11, 2026. All school activities and meetings are cancelled.

Amara Driscoll of Milo, a senior at Penquis Valley, has been selected to receive the 2026 Principal's Award, Principal Katie Joyner announced today. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals' Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior's academic achievement and citizenship.
“I am proud to announce that Amara Driscoll has been selected as the recipient of the Maine Principal's Award for Penquis Valley High School - Class of 2026.
Amara exemplifies the highest standards of student leadership through her sustained commitment to community service, her dedication and sportsmanship in athletics, and her strong record of academic achievement. She leads by example, always demonstrating integrity, responsibility, and a genuine investment in the success of others.
This recognition reflects not only her individual accomplishments, but also the positive impact she has had on our school and the broader community. We are exceptionally proud of Amara and congratulate her on this well-deserved honor.”
Amara Driscoll, Mrs. Joyner and other award winners and their principals will attend an Honors Luncheon at Jeff’s Catering on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 12:30 p.m.
The Honors Luncheon recognizes these outstanding students with the presentation of an individual plaque and the awarding of ten $1,000 scholarships in the names of former Maine principals and MPA Executive Directors: Horace O. McGowan, Richard W. Tyler, and Richard A. Durost.
The Principal's Award is presented in more than 100 Maine public and private high schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional association which represents Maine's school administrators.
